Created by Ploom, the Pax is a new portable marijuana vaporizer on the market.
Unlike the Vaporgenie or MFLB, the Pax has a built-in rechargeable battery and is very simple to clean and use. The Pax is constructed out of durable aluminum and also has motion sensing shutoff and is available in three colors.
Reasons to Like the Pax
One of my favorite things about the Pax vaporizer is how easy it is to use. People who have never vaporized marijuana before will find the Pax much easier to use than the VaporGenie, and even their first bowl will produce a satisfying amount of vapor.
The bowl is shaped like a basket, and I recommend that you pack it fairly tighly in order to produce the maximum mount of vapor. There are three heat settings (low, medium and high) which can be changed through the press of a button. I experimented with the settings, and discovered that I liked to start bowls on medium and then switch to high about halfway through my vape session.
The Pax has a built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery which is designed to be long lasting. The battery also recharges quite fast, and it should be fully recharged in under two hours.
Cleaning the Pax is very easy, and can be done using a pipe cleaner dipped in some rubbing alcohol. You can also remove the mouthpiece in order to clean it with soap and water. The Pax also comes with a magnetic cover that easily comes off during use, but it stays firmly attached when not being used.
In conclusion, I find the Pax to be the ideal travel vaporizer. You can use it in windy condition, and the battery lasts much longer than a lot of it’s competitors. I found it to be one of my favorite portable vaporizers. The Pax did have a downside however, the unit itself was solidly built but I found the battery charger to be a bit flimsy. Take care not to drop the charger or pull the power cord too hard.
